Hunger isn&#8217;t.<\/h2>\n<h3>Saturday, September 26, 2026 \u2022 9 am &#8211; 12 pm \u2022 SACA parking lot<\/h3>\n<p>Oregon and Oregon State aren&#8217;t playing each other this year, or next. It&#8217;s the first break in the series since 1943. So we&#8217;re going to play it ourselves, in our parking lot, with canned soup.<\/p>\n<h2>How it works<\/h2>\n<p>Drive up and stay in your car. Tell us your team: Ducks, Beavers, or Team Silver Falls if you&#8217;d rather not pick a side. Volunteers unload your trunk, weigh what you brought, and add every pound to your team&#8217;s board. <span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">Whichever team you choose, your community wins!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ll keep a live count going all morning on the Rivalry Drive scoreboard. Come early, come back, or check the score from home. Whatever gets more food on the shelves.<\/p>\n<p>Walking or biking over works too. We&#8217;re just excited to have folks participate.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>What to bring:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Non-perishable, family-size groceries. The kind of thing you&#8217;d put in your own pantry.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shelf-stable food:\n<ul>\n<li>Canned meat, fish, and beans<\/li>\n<li>Soup, stew, and chili<\/li>\n<li>Peanut butter, pasta and sauce, and rice<\/li>\n<li>Cereal, oatmeal, and shelf-stable milk<\/li>\n<li>Canned fruit and vegetables<\/li>\n<li>Oil, flour, masa, spices, coffee, and tea<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Personal care:\n<ul>\n<li>Toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, diapers, and period products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Pet food.\n<ul>\n<li>Pets are family, and we&#8217;d like to have food for them on the shelf.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re bringing a large bag, gallon Ziploc bags are a big help so we can split it into portions people can carry home.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>A note on sizes:<\/h4>\n<p>Please pick regular grocery sizes over warehouse club bulk. A 10-pound bag of rice is generous, but it&#8217;s hard to carry, hard to store, and hard to divide safely. Six regular bags help six households.<\/p>\n<h3>What we can&#8217;t take:<\/h3>\n<p>Fresh food, anything refrigerated or frozen, anything open, and homemade items.<\/p>\n<h2>Where it goes<\/h2>\n<p>Everything collected that morning stays right here. It goes on our shelves and out to neighbors across the Silver Falls area, through the food pantry and our other programs. Not a warehouse three counties away. Our food pantry is open during these shopping hours: Mon 11 am &#8211; 2 pm, Tues 4 am &#8211; 6 pm, and Thurs 9 am &#8211; 12 pm. De los que usted pondr\u00eda en su propia despensa.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Despensa:\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Carne, pescado y frijoles enlatados<\/li>\n<li>Sopa, guisado y chili<\/li>\n<li>Crema de cacahuate, pasta y salsa, y arroz<\/li>\n<li>Cereal, avena y leche en caja<\/li>\n<li>Frutas y verduras enlatadas<\/li>\n<li>Aceite, harina, masa, especias, caf\u00e9 y t\u00e9<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Cuidado personal:\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Pasta y cepillos de dientes, jab\u00f3n, champ\u00fa, desodorante, papel higi\u00e9nico, pa\u00f1ales y productos menstruales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Comida para mascotas.\n<ul dir=\"ltr\">\n<li>Las mascotas son familia, y queremos tener comida para ellas en el estante.<\/li>\n<li>Si trae una bolsa grande, las bolsas Ziploc de gal\u00f3n ayudan mucho para dividirla en porciones que la gente pueda llevarse a casa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Sobre los tama\u00f1os:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Por favor prefiera tama\u00f1os normales de supermercado en vez de tama\u00f1os de mayoreo. Una bolsa de 10 libras de arroz es muy generosa, pero cuesta cargarla, guardarla y dividirla de forma segura. Seis bolsas normales ayudan a seis hogares.<\/p>\n<h3>Lo que no podemos recibir:<\/h3>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Comida fresca, cualquier cosa refrigerada o congelada, productos abiertos, y comida hecha en casa.<\/p>\n<h2 dir=\"ltr\">A d\u00f3nde va<\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Todo lo que se recolecte esa ma\u00f1ana se queda aqu\u00ed. Va a nuestros estantes y de ah\u00ed a vecinos de toda el \u00e1rea de Silver Falls, por medio de la despensa y nuestros otros programas. No a una bodega a tres condados de distancia.
